Harry Joseph Lennix III[1] (born November 16, 1964) or Harry J. Lennix is an American actor. He is best known for his roles as Terrence "Dresser" Williams in The Five Heartbeats and as Boyd Langton in the television series Dollhouse. He played General Swanwick in the 2013 movie Man of Steel, its 2015 follow-up movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the 2021 movie Zack Snyder's Justice League, which reveals that Swanwick was actually the Martian Manhunter.[2]

Lennix was born on November 16, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois.[3] He studied at Quigley Preparatory Seminary South and at Northwestern University.
