Herman Chernoff

Herman Chernoff (born July 1, 1923) is an American applied mathematician, statistician and physicist. He was a professor at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Stanford, and MIT. He now works at Harvard University.[1] Chernoff was born in New York City.
