Herman Philipse

Herman Philipse (born May 13, 1951 in The Hague) is a Dutch philosopher, specialized in epistemology.

Philipse studied law and philosophy at Leiden University.

From 1986 to 2003 he was a philosophy professor at Leiden University. Since 2003 he has been a philosophy professor at Utrecht University.

Philipse is an atheist.

He has published on philosophy and atheism.
