Hershel Woodrow "Woody" Williams (October 2, 1923 – June 29, 2022) was a United States Marine. He received the Medal of Honor for his actions in the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II.[1] He was also the last surviving recipient of the Medal of Honor from that battle.[2]

Williams died at a veteran home in Huntington, West Virginia on June 29, 2022 at the age of 98.[3]
