In the Name of the Fatherland (Russian: Во имя Родины) is a 1943 Soviet war movie directed by Vsevolod Pudovkin and Dmitriy Vasilyev.[1][2] The movie is based on the play Russian People by Konstantin Simonov. It stars Nikolai Kryuchkov, Yelena Tyapkina, and Mikhail Zharov.
