The International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU) is a humanist NGO based in the U.K. It has members on United Nations committees and other international organizations. It was started in Amsterdam in 1952.[1] It is an umbrella organization made up of more than 160 regular humanist, atheist, rationalist and Ethical Culture organizations from over 80 countries.[2]
