Irene Tarimo (born 1 October 1964) is a Tanzanian scientist, researcher and educator.[1] [2] [3]

She served as the Head of Department of Environmental Studies and Lindi Regional Director at the Open University of Tanzania.[4] [5] She currently serve as Chairman of the Staff Funds Committee, Open University of Tanzania [6]

During 1990's, she helped with the founding of the Tanzania Environmental Conservation Society, which advocates on environmental impacts and the climate crisis, mostly on researches.[7]
