Irving Pichel (June 24, 1891 – July 13, 1954) was an American movie, television, radio, stage actor, and movie director. He was known for his roles in; The Most Dangerous Game, Destination Moon, Oliver Twist, Tomorrow is Forever, and Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid.

Pichel was born on June 24, 1891 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was one of the few actors to be blacklisted.[1] Pichel was married to Violette Wilson. They had three children. Pichel died on July 13, 1954 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California from heart failure, aged 63.
