Ivan Klíma (born Ivan Kauders, 14 September 1931 – 4 October 2025) was a Czech novelist and playwright. He won the Magnesia Litera award and the Franz Kafka Prize.[1] Klíma was born in Prague.[2] His best known novel was Love and Garbage (1986).
Klíma died at his home in Prague on 4 October 2025, at the age of 94.[2][3][4]
