Jürgen Schadeberg

Jürgen Schadeberg (18 March 1931[1] – 29 August 2020[2]) was a German-born South African photographer and artist. He also used the name Jurgen Schademann. He photographed key moments in South African history, including iconic photographs such as Nelson Mandela as an inmate at Robben Island. He was born in Berlin.

Schadeberg died on 29 August 2020 from a stroke at the age of 89.[2]
