Atigh Jameh Mosque of Shiraz (Persian: مسجد جامع عتیق) is the oldest mosque in the city of Shiraz, Iran. It was built in the 9th century.
In the year 752 AH (16th century CE), a new building was added in the center of the mosque’s courtyard. This building is called Dar al-Mostafa. It has Quran verses written in beautiful calligraphy around it. The design and the use of stone give the courtyard a special look.[2]
Since 1932, the mosque has been listed as a national monument of Iran.
