James Michael Tyler (May 28, 1961– October 24, 2021) was an American actor. He was best known for playing Gunther in the sitcom series Friends. Tyler was born in Greenwood, Mississippi and was raised in Winona, Mississippi.
Personal life
[change | change source]In June 2021, Tyler said he was diagnosed with stage-4 prostate cancer back in 2018.[1] He died from the disease at his Los Angeles, California home on October 24, 2021 at the age of 59.[2]
