Jan Szarek

Jan Szarek (13 February 1936 – 8 October 2020) was a Polish Lutheran minister. He was Bishop of Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Poland from 1991 to 2001 and Chairman of Polish Ecumenical Council from 1993 to 2001. Szarek was born in Bielsko, Poland.
Szarek died on 8 October 2020 in Cieszyn, Poland from COVID-19 at the age of 84.[1]
