Janis Hape

Janis Lynn Hape (March 10, 1958 – March 7, 2021), also known by her married name Janis Dowd, was an American competition swimmer.[1] Hape represented the United States as an 18-year-old at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec.[2] She was born in Gary, Indiana.

Hape died from heart failure in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 7, 2021 at the age of 62.[3][4]
