Jean-Marc Maniatis (3 March 1942 – 1 January 2023) was a French hairdresser.[1]

When Maniatis was 17 years old he debuted as a studio hairdresser for magezines Elle and Marie Claire. He opened his first salon in 1970 in the fashionable 16th arrondissement of Paris. He became the hairdresser of famous people in the 1980s and 1990s. He was the hairdress of among others actresses Sophie Marceau, Mireille d'Arc, Miu Miu, American Alain Delon, singer Prince. He created the hairstyles for the fashion shows of Karl Lagerfeld, Sonia Rykiel and Andre Courreg.[2][3][4] He was also the hairdresser of films, including The Time to Die (1970), Paradis pour tous [fr] (1982) and Step by Step.[5] He owned four salons in the Paris region.[2][3][4]

Maniatis died in a hospital after a long illness in Geneva in the night of 31 December 2022 to 1 January 2023, at the age of 80.[2][3][4]
