Jean Mavis Hodgkinson[1] , known by the stage name Jean Alexander (11 October 1926-14 October 2016), was a English television actress. She was known for her roles as Hilda Ogden in the soap opera Coronation Street from 1964 to 1987 and as Auntie Wainwright in Last of the Summer Wine from 1988 to 2010, she died on 14 October 2016, aged 90.[2][3][4]
