Jean Ethel Burns (December 1919 – 25 May 2019) was an Australian aviatrix. She was the first Australian woman to parachute from an aeroplane over Australia. She also held the title of being the youngest female pilot in Australia for 15 years, between 1937 and 1952. She was born in the inner Melbourne, Victoria suburb of Brunswick East.

Burns died on 25 May 2019, at the age of 99.[1]
