Jerzy Szczakiel

Jerzy Szczakiel (28 January 1949 – 1 September 2020) was a Polish Speedway rider. He was one of three Polish nationals to win the Speedway World Championship.[1] He won the championship in 1973. He was born in Grudzice, Poland.

Szczakiel died on 1 September 2020 in Paris, aged 71.[2]
