Jim Frey

James Gottfried Frey (May 26, 1931 – April 12, 2020) was an American manager and coach in Major League Baseball. He led the Kansas City Royals to their first American League championship in 1980. In the World Series, they lost to the Philadelphia Phillies. He also managed the Chicago Cubs.

Frey was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He died on April 12, 2020 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida at the age of 88.[1]
