Joel Edgerton (born 23 June 1974) is an Australian actor and filmmaker. He is best known for his roles in movies such as Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002), Ned Kelly (2003), Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005), Animal Kingdom (2010), Warrior (2011), The Odd Life of Timothy Green, Zero Dark Thirty (both 2012), The Great Gatsby (2013), The Gift, Black Mass (both 2015), Loving (2016), It Comes at Night (2017) and Red Sparrow (2018).

Edgerton was born in Blacktown, New South Wales. His brother, Nash, is a movie director.[1]
