John Henry Rutherford (/ˈrʌðərfərd/; born September 2, 1952) is an American politician. He is in the United States House of Representatives for Florida's 4th congressional district since 2017. He was an officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office before serving as the Duval County Sheriff from 2003 to 2015.[1] He is a member of the Republican Party.[2]
