José Clemente Orozco

José Clemente Orozco (November 23, 1883, Ciudad Gúzman – September 7, 1949, Mexico City) was a Mexican painter and muralist.

He was one of the leading Mexican muralists, with Diego Rivera and David Alfaro Siqueiros. Orozco created murals in several public buildings in Mexico and the United States. His murals often deal with Mexican history and revolutionary ideals. He was leftist, but less ideological than the Marxists Rivera and Siqueiros.[1]
