Joseph Nestor[1] Mondello (February 13, 1938 – August 1, 2022) was an American politician and lawyer. He was the United States Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago from 2018 to 2021 during the Donald Trump presidency. He was Chairman of the New York Republican State Committee until September 2009 and as the chairman of the Nassau County Republican Committee from 1983 to May 24, 2018.[2]

Mondello died on August 1, 2022 at the age of 84.[3]
