Joshua Holt Hamilton (born May 21, 1981, in Raleigh, North Carolina) is a American professional baseball player who currently plays for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). In the 2010 season he was named American League MVP. He last played for the Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He chose to play for the Angels after they offered him a 5-year contract, worth $125 million.[1]

On April 27, 2015, the Angels traded Hamilton back to the Rangers.[2]
