Juan de Dios Román

Juan de Dios Roman Seco (17 December 1942 – 28 November 2020) was a Spanish handball coach and executive. He was born in Merida, Spain.

His coaching career lasted between 1964 to 2000. He coached the Atlético Madrid BM, BM Ciudad Real and the national team. He lead the national team into the 2000 Summer Olympics, winning the bronze medal.

Between 2008 to 2013, he was President of the Royal Spanish Handball Federation.

Román died of a stroke on 28 November 2020 in Madrid at the age of 77.[1]
