The June Uprising, was an Uprising that happened in Soviet Lithuania during the first weeks of Operation Barbarossa during World War II. in the year before, the Soviets Occupied and annexed the country as part of their deal with Germany. but with the German invasion, the people of the country decided to attempt to declare independence from the Soviets. the Red Army forces in the country were expelled but the german troops occupied the country and the Provisional Government of Lithuania was dissolved.
