Kangwon Province (North Korea)

Kangwŏn-do (강원도) is a province of North Korea. Its capital is at Wŏnsan. Before Korea was divided in 1945, Kangwŏn and its South Korean neighbor Gangwon-do (also spelled Kangwon-do) was a single province. The "Diamond Mountain" is its highest part.
