Patricia Colleen Nelligan (born March 16, 1950), known professionally as Kate Nelligan, is a retired Canadian actress. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the 1991 movie The Prince of Tides. She won the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the 1991 movie Frankie and Johnny.[1] She also starred as a main protagonist in the 1981 movie Eye of the Needle, the 1983 movie Without a Trace and the 1985 movie Eleni.
