Kathleen A. McGrath

Kathleen Anne McGrath (June 4, 1952 – September 26, 2002) was an American Navy. She was the number one woman (first) to command a United States Navy warship.

McGrath was born  On June 4, 1952  in Columbus, Ohio. She got a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science at California State University, Sacramento in 1975. She studied at Officer Candidate School in Rhode Island. She got her Master of Arts degree in Educational Management from Stanford University In 1987.[1][2]
