Kathleen L. Kraninger (born December 28, 1974) is an American government official. She was the 2nd Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from December 2018 to January 2021. Before she worked in the White House Office of Management and Budget.[1][2][3] She was nominated by President Donald Trump to become the Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.[4] Kraninger was confirmed, however, 50-49. [5]
