Katmai National Park

Katmai National Park was started in 1918 in southern Alaska, United States. It protects the region surrounding Mount Katmai and the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes, which is an area of lava flows and ash created by a huge volcano eruption. The volcano is still active today. The park has salmon and thousands of brown bears. The Katmai National Park includes a tundra, forests, lakes and mountains.
