Kevin Lee Faulconer (born January 24, 1967) is an American politician. He was the mayor of San Diego, California from March 2014 until December 2020. From 2006 to 2014, he served as a member of the San Diego City Council. He is a Republican.

In February 2021, Faulconer announced his candidacy for Governor of California in the 2022 election and in the unsuccessful 2021 recall election against Governor Gavin Newsom.[1]

Faulconer was born in San Jose, California. He grew up in Oxnard.[2]
