Khurto Hajji Ismail

Khurto Hajji Ismail or Babe Şêx (1933 – 1 October 2020,[1][2] Kurdish: Xurto Hecî Îsmaîl) was the religious leader of the Yazidi community of Iraq. He held this position from 2007 to 2020. He lived in Ain Sifni, Iraq.[3]

He died on 1 October 2020 in a hospital in Erbil from heart and kidney failure, aged 87.[4]
