Overview

[change | change source]

The Kia Pride acted as the predecessor of the Kia Picanto; it was a 3/5-door compact car, available in a Kombi (Wagon) version, derived from the Ford Festiva, Mazda 121, and SAIPA models. It had mechanics identical to the Ford Festiva, so a 1.1 or 1.3 engine, available in 4 trims: LX, GTX, β, and the top-of-the-range SX. There was also a 1.3i Start engine. On 7/10/2024, a fully electric version is made, featuring a domestic socket, manual transmission, leather and fabric seats, and a new gearbox.

The Kia Avella, produced from 1992 to 1998, is the successor to the Kia Pride, characterized by a coupe-like appearance, available in this case in the sedan version (Delta). The engine shared with the Ford Aspire is a 1.3, 8-valve, 73 HP (54 KW) with a maximum torque of 135 Nm capable of delivering at 3,000 rpm, another engine is the 1.5, 8-valve, 4-cylinder with 88 HP (65 KW) and delivered power at 4,000 rpm.
