On 16 March 2025, a fire at the Pulse nightclub in Kočani, North Macedonia, killed at least 61 people.[1][2][3] Interior Minister Panče Toškovski said pyrotechnics caused the fire. 194 people were hospitalized in Kočani, Štip, and Skopje.[4][5] It was the deadliest nightclub fire in Macedonian history and the deadliest nightclub fire since the 2015 Colectiv nightclub fire in Bucharest, Romania.
