Koppal (Kannada: ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ) is a town in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is the capital of the Koppal district. Koppal was an important town in the history of Karnataka. It contains historical temples and ruins.
Koppal is surrounded by many smaller villages, such as Wanballary, Yettinhatti and Yelamgera.[1]
