Lafayette Ronald Hubbard (March 13, 1911 – January 24, 1986) was an American pulp fiction writer. He created Dianetics and Scientology. Hubbard was born in Tilden, Nebraska to Harry Ross Hubbard and Ledora May Hubbard. He died of a stroke in Creston, California.
