LA Law Library

The LA Law Library is the second largest public law library in the United States (behind the Law Library of Congress. It has just under 1 million books.

The library is now at 301 W 1st St in downtown Los Angeles.

it was started in 1891 by local attorneys. for its first 60 years it was located on the courthouse on hill street. then they build the current building. it took from 1951-1953 to finish it. an addition was built in 1969-1970.
