Lake Maxinkuckee is a lake in the U.S. state of Indiana. It is the second largest lake in the state.[2] The town of Culver in Marshall County is by the lake. Culver Academies is on the north edge of Lake Maxincuckee.[3] The first people to find the lake were Mound Builders, later becoming the Potawatomi.[4]
The word Maxinkuckee comes from the Potawatomi word Mog-sin-kee-ki. This means "Big Stone Country".[5][4]
