Leandro Despouy

Leandro Despouy (April 4, 1947 – December 18, 2019) was an Argentine human rights lawyer and politician. He was born in San Luis, Argentina. He was the United Nations Commission on Human Right's Special Rapporteur on the Independence of Judges and Lawyers from August 2003 until July 2009.

From 2002 through 2016, he was the General Auditor of Argentina.

Despouy died of cancer in Buenos Aires on December 18, 2019 at the age of 72.[1]
