The German language is spoken in a lot countries in the European Union and North America. A German dialect is found in each country that is around Germany. Dialects can also be found in some countries like Brazil, the United States, and some countries in Africa. The German language started in Germany and is a mother language in the European continent.

The language has a lot of dialects. There are Austrian German, Standard German (most common), Swiss German and Belgian German dialects. German is the origin language of West Germanic, Italic, and English in the Indo-European languages.
