Lord Farquaad
Lord Maximus Farquaad is the main antagonist of the 2001 animated feature movie Shrek, as well as Shrek 4-D and the musical. He is voiced by John Lithgow. He does not appear in William Steig's original picture book of the same name.

Lord Farquaad is the ruler of the kingdom of Duloc. He was given a choice by the Magic Mirror to pick either Cinderella, Snow White or Princess Fiona for his future wife. He picked Fiona and wanted to give one of his knights the assignment to rescue her from the Dragon's Keep.
