Lorna Thomas

Lorna Thomas MBE (1 December 1917 – 17 September 2014) was an Australian female cricket player and team coach. She played from 1936 until 1949. She also coached from 1963 until 1978. She played for Australia against England, New Zealand and many other countries. She later coached Australia with success.

Thomas was born in Sydney, New South Wales. She was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the 1970s.

Thomas died from natural causes on 17 September 2014 in Sydney, aged 97.[1]
