Mabato better known as Brgy. Mabato, Calamba City is an rural barangay designated as The New Shortcut of Tagaytay situated along the foot of Mount Sungay in Tagaytay city, The barangay is connected within the two cities between Cabuyao, Talisay and Tagaytay.[1]
Geography
[change | change source]The location of the barangay is the vicinity of Calamba–Tagaytay Bypass Road (Calamba–Tagaytay Road), located in the southwestern most in the province of Laguna situated in Calamba City, bounded by the barangays in Bunggo to the west, Calabuso, Tagaytay to the northeast, Sulpoc, Talisay to the northwest, Dapdap East, Tagaytay to the east and Casile, Cabuyao to the south. The barangay is a steep and rocky hill, from Bunggo at the down and up to Calabuso in Tagaytay.
Etymology
[change | change source]The name "Mabato" in (eng), rocky formed after the last eruption of Taal Volcano in 1977, during the powerful eruption since when in 1911.
Routes
[change | change source]The route to Brgy. Mabato Snake Road to the west is from Revpal-Dapdap East in Tagaytay city, Cavite along the Palace People's Park in the Sky, brgy. Suplang, Tanauan, Batangas and the Mabato–Bunggo Bridge, located at the Mabato River.
