The Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) was founded in January 1997. It was created after Malaysia's Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohamad, and a group from Malaysia visited the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and decided to start a similar university.[1] MUST focuses on science, technology, and engineering.
MUST offers degree programs in fields like engineering, computer science, business, and law. It is an independent university and is not connected to Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) or Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
