Malolos, officially the City of Malolos (Filipino: Lungsod ng Malolos), is a city in the Philippines. It is the capital of the province of Bulacan. According to the 2020 census, 261,189 people lived there.[3]

Malolos was known as the first capital of the Philippines and cited in Philippine History as Bagong Bayan (Bagumbayan) where Jose Protacio Mercado Rizal Alonzo Realonda got executed for his treason on Philippine Government during Spanish colonization in December 30, 1896.

In June 30, 1998, President Joseph Ejercito Estrada, the 13th President of the Republic of the Philippines inaugurated at the Barosoain Church in Malolos City, a Christian church.

Malolos was the site of the constitutional convention of 1898, known as the Malolos Convention, that led to the establishment of the First Philippine Republic.
