Margaret Maron (née Brown; August 25, 1938 – February 23, 2021)[1] was an American writer. She was known for writing many mystery novels. Maron was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was known for her Sigrid Harald and Deborah Knott series.

Maron died on February 23, 2021 in Raleigh, North Carolina from problems caused by a stroke, aged 82.[1]
