Mark Pugh (born January 18, 1985) is an American professional wrestler. He currently wrestles for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and their sister promotion Ring of Honor (ROH) under the ring name Mark Briscoe. He is the leader of The Conglomeration stable. Briscoe was also known for being one-half of the Briscoe Brothers tag team with his brother Jay until Jay's death in 2023.

Briscoe has also made appearances in Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW), Ring of Honor (ROH) (before AEW's buyout), New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), and Impact Wrestling.

Briscoe has won many championships over the course of his career. In CZW, Briscoe was a two-time CZW World Tag Team Champion. In Impact, he was a one-time Impact World Tag Team Champion. In NJPW, he was a one-time IWGP Tag Team Champion and two-time NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champion. In ROH, he is a one-time ROH World Champion, one-time ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion, thirteen-time ROH World Tag Team Champion, the winner of the 2009 and 2013 Honor Rumbles, and was inducted into the ROH Hall of Fame along with his brother.

On the January 25, 2023 episode of Dynamite, Briscoe made his AEW debut and defeated Jay Lethal in a match. The episode fell on the same day which his brother Jay was going to turn 39. Briscoe dedicated the match in memory of his brother Jay and both Briscoe and Lethal hugged after the match.[1] On February 15, it was announced by AEW owner Tony Khan that Briscoe had signed a contract to become a member of the AEW and ROH rosters.[2] At Supercard of Honor, Briscoe challenged Samoa Joe for his ROH World Television Championship but was unsuccessful.[3]

He entered the Gold League of the Continental Classic. He went on to lose to Jon Moxley,[4] Rush,[5] Jay White,[6] and Swerve Strickland before picking up a victory against Jay Lethal but failing to qualify.[7][8]

At Supercard of Honor, Briscoe defeated Eddie Kingston to win the ROH World Championship.[9] In June 2024, Briscoe formed The Conglomeration stable with Kyle O'Reilly, Orange Cassidy and Willow Nightingale.[10] At Forbidden Door, Briscoe entered a ladder match against Jack Perry, Konosuke Takeshita, Dante Martin, Lio Rush, and El Phantasmo to determine the winner of the vacant AEW TNT Championship but the match was won by Perry.[11] At All Out, Briscoe challenged Kazuchika Okada for his AEW Continental Championship in a three-way match which also included Orange Cassidy and Konosuke Takeshita. Okada ended up retaining.[12] On the October 23 episode of Dynamite, Briscoe lost the ROH World Championship to Chris Jericho in a ladder match.[13]

Personal life

His brother Jay was also a professional wrestler. Mark used to team with his brother for most of his career. On January 17, 2023, Jay died in a car crash in Laurel, Delaware at the age of 38.[14]
