Sir William Mark Tully (24 October 1935 – 25 January 2026) was a British journalist. He was the bureau chief of the BBC in New Delhi for 20 years.[1] He worked with the BBC for 30 years before resigning in July 1994.[2] He was a member of the Oriental Club.

Tully was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1985 and was awarded the Padma Shri in 1992. He was knighted in the New Year Honours 2002,[3] receiving a KBE, and in 2005 he received the Padma Bhushan.[4]

Tully died on 25 January 2026 at a hospital in New Delhi, India at the age of 90.[5][6][7]
