Martha Gellhorn (November 8, 1908 - February 15, 1998) was an American novelist and journalist. She wrote many novels. She also wrote news stories for the Atlantic Monthly.

Gellhorn was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She died by suicide with an overdose of drugs. She was 89 when she died.
